Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small town located on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. It is a bit of a mystery as the West Island can be confusing for those who aren't familiar to its significance. It is often believed that it's an island located that lies west of Montreal However, it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the cities in Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is commonly referred to as her birthplace. It is true that she was there for a brief time. Brugel grew to be a woman of a certain age in Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. Her initial ambition was to be an actor, However, following a dramatic growth spurt her partners were no longer able to dance with her. The Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion then I slowed down. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. For Brugel it was because of the advice from her drama teacher at high school that led her to the path she needed. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to take on a part in the school's annual production. She was the teacher who suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual production. It led to the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with an Associate in Fine Arts degree in 2000. For the past twenty years, her roles on TV and the big screen have been numerous. The role of Rita in the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in Season 1 and only appeared occasionally.
