Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days, Meloni was interested in acting. After that, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in TV and film but his performances on the small screen were what earned him recognition. The actor is able to create characters that reflect both the bad and good sides in the law enforcement system. He is able attract the attention of his audience with ease. He played the serial killer role in his first television project and later played the role an NYPD detective. He was repeatedly nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes, which are considered to be a trademark and helped in portraying rough characters with charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list for Sexiest Men Alive included him.
